The 5 hospitals you will rotate to during your fellowship include the 4 north hospitals (VA, UCSD Thornton, Scripps Green Hospital and the new UCSD Radiology learning center) and the 3 southerly hospitals (UH, Children's, Navy).
The area code for the north is 858 and for the south it is 619.

Navy Rotation
Readout is usually around 8:30-9:00am. After readout, you can leave. For cases, you can save images the usual way from the PACS or you can ask Larry, the MRI tech, to help you print out images.
Driving Directions
from North via I-5
1. Head south on Interstate 5 past downtown San Diego to the Pershing Drive off-ramp.
2. Take the Pershing Drive offramp onto Pershing Drive.
3. Follow Pershing Drive to Florida Canyon Drive, the first light.
4. Turn left onto Florida Canyon Drive and continue to Florida Canyon Place, the first light.
5. Turn left onto Florida Canyon Place (Bob Wilson Drive), entering NMCSD.
Parking: After you turn onto the campus, stay in the left lane for the security booth. Show your UCSD or VA ID badge to the guard, who should wave you through. Stay in the left lane and follow signs to the ER/Visitor parking. You will take the right fork and then turn right at the stop sign to get to the lot, which is Lot A.
Reading Room: The main building is Building 1. Walk through the courtyard, and the building will be on your left. There is an elevator in the building (Jamba Juice is across the plaza on your right). Go down to G level and follow signs to MRI. Ask for the Body MRI reading room.
Children's Hospital
Here is an update on the Childrens Hospital Rotation:

Childrens Hospital. On your first day there, all you need to show up in the
reading room. See map above. Carrie Day, the Admin. Assistant in Radiology, will
get in touch with you regarding your ID Badge/Parking card.
